Profilon AXA1
![[Profilon Layers Image]](/images/profilon_layers.gif)
Profilon® AX A1 was the original 15-mil 3 ply laminated security film composed of 25 micron mounting adhesive and 22 micron laminating adhesive developed specifically for maximum protection of glazing. Profilon® has been used worldwide for more than 25 years for the retrofit of glazing against forced entry.
Key Benefits:
- PROFILON® AX A1 is the original laminated security film and breakthrough created by HAVERKAMP decades ago,
- PROFILON® AX A1 is the first film ever to pass the German DIN 52290 security-glazing test (in 1985).
- PROFILON®AX A1 is the only security film component officially recognized by UL972C Burglary Resistive Glazing Standards in the USA and Canada.
- PROFILON® AX A1 is used worldwide by government agencies and police forces.
PROFILON® AX A1 cannot to be compared to "Safety/Security films" of single or multiple-plies not meeting the stringent Underwriters Laboratories UL 972 Burglar Resistant Glazing Test Standard. Profilon® applied to 1/4" inch standard commercial glass, meets the same resistance requirement as 9/16" inch thick multi-ply laminated glass with a .060 PVB (polyvinyl butyl) interlayer.
Profilon® Testing
PROFILON® has been subjected to the following tests and standards. The following text provides evidence of certifications and methods of each test as passed by PROFILON®.
